"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."

This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Tap @ Beer Temple. Light maber color, slightly hazy. Off white head with good lacing. Aroma’s: PINE, with hints of red fruit, plus some maltiness retronasal. Flavor is moderate to full bitter with hints of malt/grain. Light bodied. Carbonation is soft. Finishes with a long lasting pungent bitter taste. Nice!

33cl bottle at BRU, shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Hazy orange with a white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with mango, passion fruit, citrus, pale malt and hints of herbs and grass. Moderate sweet with lovely fruity and hoppy flavours and a nice and balanced bitterness. Very refreshing and probably the best premium lager I have ever tasted. Delicious APA like and very enjoyable.

Bottle at home. The color of this lager surprises with its cloudy orange appearance and a creamy, off-white and medium head. The aroma is dominated by fruity hops and with notes of passion fruit, peach, grass, flowers and a little caramel. Really nice and fresh. The taste is not very different with the touch of grapefruit, mango and a little citrus. Has a smooth mouthfeel and bitterness is at a medium level. This is a beer where the hops and malt blend nicely together. Not exactly what one associates with a pale lager, but is fresh and balanced where hops characterizes the beer completely.

0.33l bottle from 2D2Spuma, Barcelona. This is a crystal clear dark golden one with a nice medium sized heavy lacing off-white lasting head. The aroma is really fruity and hoppy. Average+ on the carbonation and it has a mildly oily mouthfeel. I get tons of peachy sweetness, marmalade and citrus. Really fresh and Americanized nose. Like it lot! Much the same in the flavor here. It's really fruity and fresh tasting. Peaches and tropical in flavor. A good, easy drinking' fruity pale. 07.08.2012

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Cloudy amber color with small creamy head. The aroma is quite fruity, fresh, with stone fruits and a touch of tropical fruits; also a bit dusty. Malt flavor, and strong hopping, quite fruity, not as fresh as it could be, and with some hop resins; medium dry mouthfeel.
Very good hop beer, with two thirds of hop quality (but a bit too heavy on the light caramel).

Draught. Slightly hazy, deep golden colour with a small, creamy white head. Fruity aroma with pines, grasses, citrus, peach and hay. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Long lasting bitter, dry finish with a hoppy fruitiness. World class lager!

13.08.2013, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is wet leafs, grass, hops, pine needles, bark, citrus peel, light malts, yeast. Taste is grass, lots of hops, wet leafs, newly cut lawn, soil, bark, pine needles. Longlasting bitterness. Fair enough, but don’t really take this for beeing a lager beer.

(Draught at Söernes Ölbar, Copenhagen, 10 July 2013) Amber colour with brief, frothy head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, resin, caramel and treacle toffee. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange peel, toast, resin and a generous bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Tasty and refreshing lager. Nice one.
