"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."
This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

(Draught at Rotterdam, 20120701) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, pine, citricness and malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, grain, pine, grass, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, a bit grainy and quite bitter. Very tasty beer but was this really a pale lager.

Bottle @ Micro Bar Reykjavik shared with Siggi. A bit hazy, orangish golden appearance with an off white head. Very unique, spicy, vinous, orange citrusy, light garlic, onion aroma. Somewhat toasty, light caramel, onion, garlic, somewhat herbal, spicy hoppy, a bit grassy flavor. Incredibly unique and makes me wonder if it’s actually lagered.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Slightly hazy amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is rather fruity and floral hops along with a solid pleasant sweet and bready maltyness. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance. Aroma was more like an APA than a lager, but the flavour was nicely hopped lager.

Bottle. Fresh hoppy aroma. The taste is a bit too hoppy, altough I can sense a good Premium Lager in the background. Refreshing summer beer.
