This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

A lightly hazed golden ipa with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, classic. In mouth, nice crisp biscuit malt with floral and citrusy hops, tropical fruit, medium bodied, pleasant. On tap at Beer for Geeks.

Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Liking the mission statement on the above description. Clear orange pour with a small white head. Great tropical fruity hoppy beak. Flavour was crisp, citrus, hoppy and fruity. Really drinkable. As premium lagers go this is a damned good one. Why not make Stella illegal and force the masses to drink this stuff instead ? The world might just be a better place.

330ml bottle from Beer Hive. Pours clear golden amber, thin white head. Aromas are tropical fruit, pink grapefruit, lime, touch of resin. Taste brings a hint of lagery-ness, but only a hint. Much more hop bitterness as grapefruit. Light body, crisp finish. Nice,

Bottle, 0.33l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Clear pale amber color with thick white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, passion fruit and pine. Taste starts light sweet malty, initially somewhat thin, but quickly develops into rich fruitiness rounded by decent malty backbone, while finish is heavy bitter with long aftertaste. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Excellently hopped, so un-lager-like...

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Gyldenbrun. Kjempehøyt luftig skum med litt kremkonsistens. Litt lacing. Ikke helt klar. God aroma av mørke plommer. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er tørket frukt. Veldig tørr avslutning.

Hazy orange-amber beer with a decent bubbly head. The blend of hops really comes through in the aroma too. That blend of hops is also balanced very well, not allowing the likes of the citra to dominate. There’s not as much aftertaste as I anticipated but it’s nice and fruity along with the lingering hop. Unsurprisingly given the brewery it’s very tasty.
