"Sometimes when you’re drunk you can see better."
This is the lager. This is the pilsner, the lager, the bottom fermented beer. This is the Captain on the deck, one of the lone lagers cruising on the ocean of ale. To Øl actually loves lager type beers, and sometimes lagers is missed out because of the many great ales present. Problem is that most people who brew lagers apparently has a taste of old dusty piss yellow obnoxious stale impotent beers. So now was the time to stir things up and tell the people how you can do a super hoppy, well balanced pilsner type beer!

Hazy orange-amber beer with a decent bubbly head. The blend of hops really comes through in the aroma too. That blend of hops is also balanced very well, not allowing the likes of the citra to dominate. There’s not as much aftertaste as I anticipated but it’s nice and fruity along with the lingering hop. Unsurprisingly given the brewery it’s very tasty.

On tap at Kaelderkold in Barcelona. Comes out a mostly clear gold with some frothy, white head. Nose has some nice hop character, lemon, pine and soap, some crisp cracker malt, but otherwise fairly simple. Flavor is the same, piney, soapy, some lemon zest, a little crackery malt, grass, straw, but everything is fairly mild. Clean, watery finish. Malt backbone might need a tweak to hold things together.

BOTTLE 33CL from fonefan. Thanks, Jan.
Look: cloudy amber, ivory frothy to creamy head.
Aroma: quite hoppy, but not over the top, with notes of acid fruitiness - not so ripe pine-apple, gooseberry maybe - and some resins too. Some dirt too - glue?
Taste: juicy, dry, hefty mouth-feel, medium and velvety soft slightly puckering bitterness covering all your palate, sour fruit notes.
Excellent keller-style lager. Hops are assertive, but kept under control, without turning it into a IPL.

330ml bottle from Bottledog. Pours murky orange / brown. Bursting with new world hops, pineapple, mandarin, grapefruit and lime zinging at you in all directions with pine, citrus and bitterness all scrambling for your attention. Definitely seems more like an APA than a lager, pilsener or whatever it’s supposed to be.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Clear, golden colour. Thick, bubbly, lasting, white head. A lemon biscuit thing going on. Simcoe hop. Maybe a tad of spice. Taste is dry, with a little citric tang. A light bitterness, too. Crunchy bitter palate. Finish is long, light bitter.

Frisk duft av citrusfrukter. Dunkel gulbrun farge. Tynt skum boblende. Frisk god smak av friske citrusfrukter, nydelig øl som gjerne drikkes igjen.

Cloudy orange, rocky offwhite head. Fruity hops aroma. Lovely soft and creamy mouthfeel, clean flavour of grapefruit and peach, a little caramel. Crisp and dry finish.
