Taster showing black with half a finger of latte colored foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of vanilla throughout. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Mild sweetness with light chocolate and sweet vanilla followed by a lightly tart coffee bitterness.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch, oil colored black with a small brown head. Huge roasted malt nose with molasses, tobacco and cacao nib aromas. Slick and oily on the palate with big roasted coffee and cacao nib notes. Some dried fig and date as it warms, but overall a good amount of bitterness. Roasty but balanced.

Taster at Liquor Express. Kicked the keg. Pours black, with a massive, fine, brown head. The nose is maple syrup, soy sauce, light coffee, pecans, and caramel. Very sweet, with a smooth bitterness. Heavy body, with a smooth, sticky feel. This is a nice, decadent stout.
