There is a difference between absolute bitterness and perceived bitterness. IBUs are useful for homebrewers for the purpose of clone recipes, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Expedition Stout is a good example. It has more IBUs than more traditional hoppy beers like Two Hearted and Hopslam.

Lots of citrus. Some tangerine. Murky yellow pour. Decent for style. Soft empty finish, not much body at the end. Light hop tang. Alright. Can.

Bottle. Pours hazy bright yellow with a good foamy head that leaves some nice lacing, fairly classic hazy IPA look. Citrus, tropical, bit of perfume and a little hint of diesel in the finish. Good body. Pretty decent effort.
