Bottled from speciaalbierpakket.nl, BB january 2015, large sample, served in a trappist glass. Slight hazy golden color, short creamy slight off-white head. Aroma of some grainy malt, hay, spicy and peppery yeast, slight flowery honey, bit high alcohols. Sweet taste, slight bitterness, some alcohol. Hint of lactic notes that provide a creamy texture. Finishes with a soft alcohol bite. Seeing the ratings I was expecting something quite bad, but its an ok example of a belgian strong blonde.

Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. Pours foggy beige with a weak, filmy head. Sugary malt aroma with notes of ripe fruits. Weird taste, some bitter melon, citrus rind, wood. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Astringent finish, bitter. Poor.
