Four types of West Coast hops (Chinook, Citra, Centennial and Zeus) add bold notes of pine and juicy grapefruit to this deep golden wheat ale, for a crisp flavor that’s a refreshing escape from winter’s lingering chill.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is herbal hops, medium body, soapy texture, medium carbonation, and thick small-bubble lacing. Taste is herbal hops and some wheat esters.

More boring than Jennifer Aniston movies. Pours hazy golden with ok head. Light citrus but hops here are pretty indistinguishable. Bottle at Philly airport.

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy honey gold color. Small rocky beige head. Yeasty wheat malt nose. Flavor is tart wheat malt with a dose of citrusy, piney hops. Lemony hoppy finish. This is a confusing beer. Oofah!

On tap at Samuel Adams Brew house CVG . Hazy pale orange with a small lingering white head leaving good lace. Nose is citrus, grass and light honey. Light sweet malt with a moderate bitterness. Mouth is slightly thin with average carbonation. Nice enough.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Yeast and grass aromas. Sweet sourdough and citrus front to back.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours rather hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of light stone fruits. Med body. Flavor is light stone/prunus fruits with a touch of citrus. Wheat is detectable. It’s an ok drink, but maybe more for a hot day at the lake than a cold winter’s day.

12oz bottle. West Coast hops? Thanks for pinpointing that down. Hmmm...always fun to guess though. Maybe Cascade, Simcoe? Approaching modern sensibilities, a white IPA if you stretch without the awkward belgo yeast fun. The wheat is pretty mild. Overall pretty subdued, bland, pedestrian. On the fuller side of medium bodied. Another schwaggy one from SA.
