Draft. Chocolate, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Chestnut brown with small head. Moderately sweet chocolate, caramel malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Pleasant, easy drinking.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy brownish-amber color with a medium bone white head that recedes gradually to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lace. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit and slight hops. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet malt, stone fruit and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at J’s. Pours a clear brown with a finger of foam that lingers. Toffee nose with some fruit, good carbonation. More caramel and fall fruit on the palate. A touch of faint tobacco. Dry finish.
