Bottle from a colleague and drunk at home. Black beer with lasting tan head. Smooth roast dark chocolate and some espresso coffee. Some bitterness on the finish. Good bitter dark chocolate with some roast. Pretty good I thought. Good dark chocolate.

Bottle. Black with a tan head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of dark sugars, roasted malt, chocolate. 7+ Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Tastes much as suggested by the aroma, with elements having some room to move. The roast becomes a little more prominent towards the end - a bit ashy even. Some licorice, less chocolate than an initial whiff. Not much bitterness there but it is dry enough not to overstay its welcome. Tasteful but lack a bit of grunt for its strength.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, spicy, slightly chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of liquorice, liquorice root, some coffee, celery, rusty, metallic overtones. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly spicy and chocolately, hints of celery and liquorice, a touch of coffee, rust, blood. Rather light, minimally watery.

Fles 75cl gedeeld thuis. Roasted malts, redelijk romig, zuurtje, wat donkerrood fruit (braam?), koffie, licht laurier, chocolade. drogig, bitters, lichte vanillezoetje, lichte rooksmaak, kruidig, wat salmiak-achtige tonen. (2-2-2019).

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark black, small head. Stouty-malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, some earthy notes. Mild sweetness. Finish well balanced, sweet-malty. Nice!

Flaske. Julegave fra Pia & Kåre. Delt med Håvard under julefeiring i Tyrihansveien. Svart. Middels høyt skum med litt farge. Daler sakte. Lakrisaroma. Smaken balansert. Mest sjokolade. En bra stout.

0.33 l bottle from Grunt shop, Kvatrić, Zagreb. Shared with Klen. Murky dark brown to black, medium lasting beige head. Aroma is dried fruits, brown sugar, spices, nutmeg, light citrus peel. Very roasty, woody, dry. Some coffee and dark chocolate. Creamy texture, very dry finish, body quite light and carbonation is soft. Nice example overaly, if not a bit too harsh.

A very nice strong, complex beer, with lots of roast and a nice full body to back to the abv. Balanced chocolate malt and with other roasted malts. D&S Dresden
