Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to chalice.
Appearance: dark mahogany color with a small cap of a little white foamy head which quickly slid off and didn't bother to leave any lace
Aroma: dark fruits, Belgian sugars, animal cracker sweetness, caramel/toffee malts, dark bread, some yeasty spice, earthy to tobacco-like whiff and a small scent of chocolate
Flavor: wraps the prior noted aromas to a good sweetness then the yeasty spice enters in but seems a bit restrained; finishes dry and caramel-like with the dark fruits
Texture: light to medium bodied, good sipper, good amount of smoothness and an ample amount of dryness
Overall: to me, maybe more of a Belgian dark strong ale, perhaps. Which that isn't a bad thing if this is truly the style I just said. I'd still have this again.

Light florals and some dust like old bookshops. Pours clear maroon with decent head. Light sweet finish. Ok but light on flavor for quad. Tap at Hazel.

Tap at CYO. Pours a clear, deep amber with a finger of foam that goes quickly. Big caramel and prune nose that dominates. Sweet on the palate, but quaffable, not cloying. More caramel and a touch of tobacco. A bit thin for quad, but enjoyable. The finish is a bit quick and doesn’t linger that much.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy but brown with a small foamy white head that faded quickly and left minimal lacing. The aroma was toffee, alcohol, raisin and molasses. The flavor was malty and fruity with notes of yeast, toffee, cherry and raisin. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is sugar plums, brown sugar and molasses. Flavor is sticky molasses dark fruit and a large sugar presence. Finish is more sugar and a bit of dark fruit esters left on the tongue. A bit thin and overly sweet for a quad but there are some exceptional dark fruit flavors coming out as this warms up a bit
