Goodwood Louisville Lager is the first and only beer brewed with 100% Kentucky-grown grains. And, in a tip of the cap to our Slugger-making neighbors downtown, white ash – common in baseball bats – is used to enhance brewing. This results in a light-bodied, perfectly balanced lager with a sweet finish delivered by those Kentucky grains.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse Charlottesville. Clear golden, thin foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of grainy malt, burnt wood. The taste is grainy malts, bitter herbal hops. Mild hints of wood. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Bottle: Clear gold with a quick white head. Barley malt, woody scent. Taste is dry...barley malt, grass.... Maybe a bit of raw vanilla bitter...straw/grassy hops....wood (lightly) Pretty darn good.....light but, but a nice flavour and finish.

Bottle. Creamy malt, straw and light wood aroma. Golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet creamy barley malt and straw aroma. Light wood with the finish. Like the malt in this and do get some added body from the wood. Not bad at all.
