Goodwood Louisville Lager is the first and only beer brewed with 100% Kentucky-grown grains. And, in a tip of the cap to our Slugger-making neighbors downtown, white ash – common in baseball bats – is used to enhance brewing. This results in a light-bodied, perfectly balanced lager with a sweet finish delivered by those Kentucky grains.

Poured a clear gold. Some skunkiness. Really kind of tasted like a boring mass market lager. No ash that I could find.

330ml can from Monster and Beer, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, cardboard lager yeast, light hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, malty, light floral, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. I really didn’t taste any evidence whatsoever of the ageing process. Quite disappointing considering this is sold as a premium product.

Golden yellow. Starts with a typical lager flavor, but is mellowed and enhanced by a slight earthy taste. A little crisp, not overly bitter.

On tap at Goodwood, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and cereal malts. Flavour is like a regular lager - no notice of the ash - with straw and cereal malts. Dry and clean. It's drinkable, but uninteresting.

Pour is a clear golden with a large fizzy white head. Aroma is a sweet lager malt, this Is a bit over the top sweet. Flavor is sweet malt with a little more of a bitter bite to it. Finish Is clean an cereal malt. Remins me of some German lagers with a bit of a more sweeter malt bill.

Tap at CYO. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Sweet corn nose with some faint peppery hops. Clean and crisp, but sweet and grainy on the palate. Not my particular favorite kind of lager, but OK for a sweet Bud clone I guess. --- Beer merged from original tick of Louisville Lager on 02 Feb 2017 at 23:14 - Score: 6. Original review text: Sweet corn nose with some faint peppery hops. Clean and crisp, but sweet on the palate. Missing that hoppy czech finish. Whatever.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grass and honey. Medium body, corn, grass, light finish, decent.

From a 12 oz bottle it is a clear light Amber color with a slight head. Bathe aroma is of malt and the taste is a bitter metallic flavor with a bitter finish
