Hi Thirsty, I’m Dad.
This Hoppy Red Ale sports a robust malt bill as ample and snug as a well worn flannel. Throwing on a pair of oversized sneakers that break all known fashion laws, Dad mows acres of dank, piney hops, uphill both ways in the snow. Keep it up—I’ll turn this can around.

Amber in color with a three-finger head. Aroma is spice, citrus, bread and grains. Taste is light spice, light caramel, grains with a slight bitter finish.

Amber pour with a small off white head. It smells mainly of caramel malt. The flavor is of caramel malt with mild hops bitterness and a little citrus. It’s alright.

12oz can. Thick Amber Ale, the rye giving it that extra depth. Sort of like a Winter Warmer in most respects, but sort of an old school PNW feel with the Cascade. OK.

Can. Deep amber body with a off-white, frothy head. Aroma of toasted grain, biscuit, light floral/herbal hops. Moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, moderate carbonation, watery/sticky texture. Flavors of biscuit, grain, spice, light citrus, floral hops. This beer is unsure which direction it wants to take. Forgettable.

12 ounce can from Tom D. Thanks Tom. Slightly hazy orange copper pour. Bubbly beige head. Luxurious clinging lace. Toasted malt nose. Flavor follows nose with added notes of caramel and spicy hops. Medium bodied. Resiny, peppery hop finish.

Black can. Perfect wrapper for the beer of the longest night of the year, such a pagan. Pours like iced tea with a head, big foamy head. Stronger malty experience backed with big dull hops that continue to get more bitter in the middle. Didn't even notice the carbonation due to the powerful building bitter sensations. What a big messy near viscous mouth coating experience in the end. As a dad, I'm not impressed. Its just one kick ass hoppy brew. A bold example of a malty beer with rye india pale pressure. YEs, like hops? Put this brew in your bucket list, IPA & rye PA lovers will dig this I bet.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured an orange brown color with a large foamy beige head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was faint floral hops, a touch of perfume and a hint of malt. The flavor was bitter and a touch harsh with perfumey and floral hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh
