750mL growler, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany!), pours a cloudy golden yellow with a lingering medium white head. Classic Hill Farmstead aromatics, with loads of fresh floral hops, citrus zest, a little bit of farmhouse notes, and a big biscuity malt backing. Flavour is even more intense, with monolithic floral hops, dry grass and citrus coating the tongue; there is some biscuity malt providing solid support without ever interfering - no malt flavour at all really. The meadow-fresh floral notes absolutely engulf the palate, with a pronounced astringency. Very dry palate - one of HF's driest. Gorgeous blonde IPA from the masters.

Growler shared with the fellas in NYC at Sander’s place. Pours faintly hazy, rich gold with a frothy, white head. Intense aroma of ripe grapefruit, mango, subtle honey maltiness, fresh pine. Medium sweet flavor with tons of pine, some lightly toasted pale malts, bitter grapefruit and grass, faint earth. Medium bodied with average, smooth carbonation. Strong, fresh and hoppy to finish with plenty of earthy pine and deep grapefruit. Quite epic.

Picked this up 24 hours ago at Hill Farmstead. Enjoyed in a Duvel Tulip at "river temperature" basically it’s been sitting in the river as I swim. Time to drink it!
A - Large head at the pour. gorgeous hazy golden. very light. Head subsides VERY slowly.
S - Nice citra and simcoe aromas. Grapefruit, pine needles, pine cones and lemons. Very light and floral temps.
T - Very pleasant! Very mild hop aromas, light, floral notes, slight level of citrus on the finish.
M - 80% carbonation on the mouth swish. medium body. Very drinkable!
O - I’m having troubles reviewing this because, as it is a Hill Farmstead beer, it tastes amazing. Yet, APAs are hard to differentiate as the grain and hop bills are fairly small to keep things almost-sessionable. So, while this beer tastes amazing, it’s not much more than a very well balanced american pale ale with a nice level of citrus tasting hops and I’m picking up some dry hops but nothing out of this world overly done. Well balanced APA. I have nothing negative to say about this beer!

Draft at HFS. Bright orange/ gold with a large, creamy, off-white head with very nice lace. A hop-forward beer. Perfect carbonation. Grapefruit hop tones, light herbal body. Refreshing and I wouldn’t hesitate to order it if I see it on draft.

A hazed blonde ale with a thick and lacing white head. In aroma, a pungent citrusy hops with catnip, spices, very nice. In mouth, a crisp malt with signature pungent hops, citrus pulp, light funky character, beautiful. On tap at the Black Back, March 12, 2012.

From tap at Hardy. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pineapple and slight citrusy hoppy. Grapefruity, peachy and citrusy. Dry and bitter. Bone dry, peachy to grapefruity and solid hoppy. Bitter and dry finish. Ends solid bitter.
