Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma seems dank. Hop aroma is a mixture. Med body. Nice, pleasant carbonation. Flavor is Southern Cross type hops, melon, mango; wheat is detectable. Finishes fruity, oh so lightly sweet, and oh so nicely bitter. Balanced IMHO. Good stuff.

On tap at beer wars Boise. Pours out a golden topped with a sand head. Nose is nice grapefruit pithy notes pineapple caramel sweetness and some rich malts. Taste is more of the grapefruit pithy bitterness pineapple and nice malt bill to hold it together.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold color with a moderate rocky white head. Fragrant tropical fruit nose with pine and grapefruit notes. Flavor has toasted malt and citrus hops right up front. Bittersweet grapefruit and black peppercorns in midtaste. Some metallic notes in finish. Long bitter aftertaste Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Tap into a shaker showing light cloudy honey with light filtration. The nose shows juicy tropical notes of pineapple, guava, and mango. The palate shows a lot of the same notes well supported with a big maltiness, well carbonated and light bodied. While the nose shows a great intensity the flavors fall slightly short.

Draft pour pint at Elysian Fields, Seattle. Pours an orange color with a thick foam head. Fruity, pine hop aroma. Flavor is delicious with a huge fresh grapefruit quality. Very fruity, big citrus IPA, and very nicely done. Refreshing, delicious. Solid IPA for me. UPDATE: Retry month 2017. This IPA, along with a few other Elysian IPA’s have been a go to for me when I’m just looking for a beer I know I’ll like when I’m out and about. With every place that serves beer carrying them, it’s been easy. Tried out of the bottle this time to compare. 6 pack. Nice drinking IPA for sure. Grapefruit constant. Flavorful. A solid offering from these guys, though I’m not as blown away by it from the bottle than I was trying it for the first time.

Bottle from a trade. Poured into a shaker. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a half finger of thick white head. Aroma is intense citrus and loads of pine. Taste is heavily bitter, follows aroma. Full bodied with a somewhat slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Very good!
