This sought-after Double IPA packs in a whole mess of hops in order to churn out a bombastic citrus taste full of orange peel, mildly dank whiffs of pine, and a deceptively easy-flowing flavor. There's just enough haze in this one to satisfy the "Hops Heads" while it's not to bitter/crazy for first-timers to enjoy this fruity brew.

Can thanks to Cletus. Pours cloudy orange. Nose is very floral - lots of citrus and rind. Taste of citrus, rind and caramel malts. Pine finish.

12oz can. Pours a clear, bright yellow with a thin, white head. Nose is musty, earthy hops, light pine, a little orange zest. Flavor is sweet, malty, crackers, a touch metallic, oranges, light grapefruit. Full bodied, bitter finish.

12 oz can at Maltzillas All American Weekend. Pours orange golden color with off white head. Aromas of citrus, pine and some malts. Bitter grapefruit rind flavor with some other citrus and pine. A touch of malt sweetnness. Medium body with average carbonation. Nice!

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to hug rim leaving spotted sheets. Grapefruit and resin aromas. Well balanced with upfront sweet caramel and marshmallow turning to a lasting grapefruit and pine finish. Finish becomes a bit sour after a while docking a few points.

Bizarre name and label - top marks! Cloudy gold beer with a good white head. Nice hop nose, not too strong. Light semi dry palate. Bitter grapefruit, tiny bit of orange. Bitter semi dry finish. Pretty aggressive hop bitterness. A bit too much methinks!

Can at Struise School tasting. Thanks Urbs. Hazy gold, thin beige head. Big hop aorma, bittle bit soapy. Big hop but too soapy man. Decent, needs more malt structure maybe.
