This full-bodied dubbel pours a deep burgundy with a fluffy head and enchanting aromas. Rich, fruity flavors and hints of honey, caramel and toffee linger before giving way to a long, dry finish. Brewed with Belgian specialty malts and a variety of spices, it pairs well with roasted meats, pâtés and terrines, and soft cheeses.

Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical. Beers of Europe?

Pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is hazy, deep cherry red with orange highlights, lots of effervescent sparkle, 2-finger quickly fading fizzy beige head with no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel, dark and stone fruits (primarily plum, raisin, peach). Taste is apple, caramel, brown sugar, honey, dark fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, lively-to-fizzy carbonation, numbing the bottom lip, and finish as taste. Overall, nice color and strong aroma and taste. Palate's not altogether pleasant--thin and the carbonation almost hurts the tongue.
