Schlossbier is Hollow Pointe's first release. Rich, toasty Munich malt character accompanies subtle caramel and a touch of chocolate with enough noble hop bitterness to create a balanced, drinkable beer.

Draft at Flying Saucer, Nashville. Pours clear dark amber with a light beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel. Taste is toasted malt, caramel, brown bread, chocolate notes. Nice. Could drink this in large quantities.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Hollow Pointe is a new brewery in Nashville that appear to be contract brewing for the time-being. Possibly at Blackstone. Anyway, this is their first beer. Dark chocolate, caramel and faint bacon smoke aromas permeate the nose as it warms. Dark chocolate, umami, prosciutto stand out on the palate. Light bitter, malt forward finish. Pretty solid take and nice to see a brewery starting off with a German style. Looking forward to more beers in the future.
