Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy yellow semi-haziness with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: lemony, piney and citrusy hop notes; clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a bittersweet quality; finishes semi-piney & lemony
Texture: medium bodied, leaning into being a sipper; light smoothness, subtle bitterness
Overall: definitely a better batch, this one I could have again.

16 ounce can. Hazy honey gold color. Frothy white head. Clinging lace. Tart citrus hop nose. Notes of grapefruit, mint and lemon. Biscuity malt flavor melds with dank, citrus hops upfront. Notes of pineapple and berry in middle. Bittersweet pine and grassy hop notes in finish. Slightly dank and pepperyas well.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish, honey gold with a finger of foam that dissipates. Gummy bear, pine, durian and mango all over the nose as it warms up a bit. Dragon fruit on the palate, lychee and mango dominate the palate. The finish has a touch too much bitterness though, but overall a nice brew. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wavvy (Batch 3) on 11 Oct 2017 at 21:10 - Score: 8. Original review text: Gummy bear, pine, durian and mango nose. Dragon fruit on the palate, lychee and mango dominate the palate. Wow. Finish is a tad bitter.

Pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy gold with a soft white head. Aroma is citrus: lemon mostly, but hints of orange, along with resinous pine. Flavor is lemon zest, a bit of orange, pine, resin, a bit of a breadiness in there too.To me the hops taste old. I don't care that everyone else loves this. It's average+ to me.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden yellow/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, honey, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Feels very close to a NE DIPA overall. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank hops; balanced malts, no residual sweetness. Awesome soft mouthfeel and drink ability. A highly enjoyable offering. Love Simcoe/Citra, this was a wonderful hop showcase.
