Maple brown ale on its own was the nicest,
but what if Bearwalker was brewed with some spices?
Ginger and nutmeg and cloves – oh my!
Cinnamon, cardamom, now you’ve got chai!
Chaiwalker is here, she’ll open your mind.
A riff on a classic, a fav redefined!

Can. Dark in color with a small head. Aroma is way too spicy. Taste is too spicy. The beer is ok but one was enough.

12oz can. Really intense chai notes. Thick, heavy, pastry beer sensibilities. Whereas the subtle use of chai can be interesting, this is pretty bad. Becomes a chore to drink by the third or fourth sip. Minty brown ale...not one I'd revisit, and places me firmly in the anti-chai beer contingent.

Draft at Craft Brewd. Pours a clear copper with a small bit of head that lingers. Cinnamon and nutmeg forward bomb, faint sugar. Fairly dry on the palate, cinnamon and nutmeg come through but are somehow balanced. Light bitterness on the finish with lingering dry spice. Well-executed and not cloying at all. --- Beer merged from original tick of Chaiwalker on 10 Nov 2017 at 21:07 - Score: 7. Original review text: Cinnamon and nutmeg forward bomb, faint sugar. Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy brown with a light tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of chai with notes of grains and bread supporting. Flavor is heavily chai spiced with grains and bread backing.

More chai aroma than a vegan self help meeting. Pours brown with decent head and great lacing. Tangy finish. Some malt here also. Tap at brewpub.
