When the weather overheated like a radiator on the fritz, it was time to step out of the garage and head somewhere cool to relax. We found every excuse to celebrate those dog days with our family and friends, because it reminded us all that summer isn’t a season, it’s a state of mind. Introducing Summertrip, a lively beer brewed to let loose and live up those days that never seem to end.

This kettle soured German style ale features 50% wheat malt and is balanced with the use of lactobacillus. Very little to no hop presence allow the bready/biscuit characteristics to come through, with a nice tart Passion Fruit finish.

Been waiting a while to try this. From the first day I researched beer types, I knew I liked berliner weiss. Nice tart-like olfactory; makes me cringe my nose and almost sneeze. Clear pale with a big white head that fades rapidly. Taste is a little processed for a berliner. Maybe its the passion fruit, not one for passion fruit in my beers. Fairly easy fun stuff, reflected in the lower ally content. Not bad, getting used to it. A little fruity on the back-end, but its not over the top, its just that its off-passionfruit. Probably not a bad mower beer for an easy hot afternoon but I'd probably would pick a civilized cheap pale lager over this stuff, much less expensive and a little more manners. Good for a tick, overall pleasant beer tasting experience.

Plae gold pour. Passion fruit aroma. It's light bodied with mild tartness and some good passion fruit flavor. Refreshing.

Passion fruit, mango, orange, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet mango/passion fruit/orange, light biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Light body. Pleasant.

Sample at the taproom for Cincinnati Beer Week on 06/23/2017. Clear dark golden color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of passionfruit, slightly funky yeast and bready malt. The finish is moderately tart with a tart melon aftertaste. Above average overall.

Can from Discount. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Great summer seasonal. Big passion fruit nose lingers a bit. Tart, lemon and yogurt, passion fruit rind/skin..light bitter finish..tart.
