Sampled from the tap at the Lexington location. Pours a black with a light brown head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has combination of sweet dark grains and vanilla with a bit of chocolate underlying. Flavor has chocolate and vanilla with a sweet dark grain backbone.

Prune, raisin, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with minimal head. Very sweet raisin, chocolate syrup, malt, and moderately bitter fresh hay flavor. Nice body and balance.

Poured at Savor: An American Craft Beer & Food Experience 2018. Poured a black oil color with a small light tan head. Aroma was roasted malts, dark chocolate, with some earthy notes. Flavor was like a fresh cut piece of chocolate cake. Light vanilla notes. Dark fruits. Pretty tasty.

Sample at beer meets wood last weekend. Opaque black with a decent sized tan head that persists. Chocolate and vanilla with bits of caramel earth and coconut at the fringes. Reminds me at times of cake frosting, oddly satisfying beer.

Tap at Gambrinus. Pours a deep brown to black with a small, almost non-existent head. Huge vanilla icing nose with some toasted maple sweetness. Very faint chocolate. Thin bodied on the palate with the vanilla icing and maple dominating, some faint chocolate and light cinnamon maybe. A tad hot on the finish with lingering chocolate cake with vanilla icing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Snake Cake on 16 May 2017 at 01:33 - Score: 8. Original review text: Huge, endless marshmallow nose. Light and good flavor. Cacao nib, vanilla and marshmallow cream. Tsaty!
