On tap at The Party Source. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is nice clove, medium body, medium carbonation, and good lacing. Taste is clove, a little banana, and grainy wheat finish.

Keg at the hotel bar. Slightly hazy amber, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of yeast, orange, spice, banana. Taste is yeast, wheat, banana, green banana, citrus, and maybe this is my mind playing tricks on me... Some smoke. Thin-medium bodied, lingering spice.

Can. Orange, banana, light clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large off-white head. Mildly sweet orange, creamy wheat malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Okay body. Minimal Hefeweizen characteristics - more of a mediocre wheat ale.

Can from Discount. Pours a clear gold with a quick dissipating head. Thinnish and soapy head...hefe’s should have that foamy, rocky head that lasts forever. Great nose though with good banana and clove esters but it disappears in 30 seconds...bummer. Ultimately like most US takes on the style watery and thin with no flavor on the palate. Hefe you are not.

Sample at the OTR Beerfest during Cincinnati Beer Week. Slightly hazy orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of wheat, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, banana and cloves. The finish is wheaty with a banana and spice aftertaste. Decent overall.
