On tap at P&P Charleston. Dark brown with medium light brown head. Aroma is nice bourbon, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is lighter bourbon and dark malt. A little light for the style.

Tap at CYO. Pours a pitch black with a finger of foam that lingers. Oaky nose with deep, charred cacao nib and bourbon aromas as it warms. Light and kind of thin-bodied. Thin mouthfeel, but slightly skim-milky with vanilla and light cocoa powder. Warming finish, but a quick finish.

Draft. Bourbon, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet chocolate malt, and moderately bitter hay/orange peel flavor. Nice body. Nice - strong bourbon presence.

Draft. Deep brown body with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and cream, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of bourbon. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice bourbon, wood flavors because they aren’t overpowering. The malts are clean, but this porter was way too sweet for my taste.
