(Bottle, vintage 2018) Black colour with brief, frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of sweet espresso, coconut, vanilla, rum, oak wood, dark chocolate and spices. Malty, roasted taste with sweet espresso, dark chocolate, rum, coconut, vanilla, raisins, wood and a vinous finish with a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Rich, vinous and warming. More balanced than the 16% would suggest. Great beer!

Bottle. A- Milk chocolate, coconut, booze. A- Black color, black liquid, light brown head. T- Coconut, milk chocolate, booze. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly boozy finish. O- 3 years of age have definitely benefitted this. I can't imagine the heat it would bring fresh. You still get every bit of 16%+ even with this age. Luscious milk chocolate throughout and smooth considering the abv.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 2/7/20. Dark brown, thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raisin, roast, oak, anise, rum, hints of vanilla. Taste is chocolate, roast, booze, cocoa, vanilla, coconut. Full bodied, boozy, oily, almost harsh. Okay. Not in love with these booze bombs for so much money but I got this one cheap. Sure as hell wouldn't pay full price for it.

Runs right up to the line of what I can tolerate in sweetness but doesn’t cross over. Fudge, coconut, brandied fruit, molasses, caramel, and unsweetened cocoa lead to a rich, gooey, rum-soaked finish. Oak provides vanilla and a necessary smidge of bitterness. A bit much for one person—even a mere 12 oz serving—but tasty.

Flaska från SB, 2018, 16,2%. Svart med mörkbrun krona som lägger sig snabbt. Låg kolsyra. Massor av mjölkchoklad, vanilj, kokos, kokos- och chokladkaka, fat, söta rom-toner. Stor kropp. Viss hetta, men överlag mjuk. Gott.
