From tap at Carmine Street Beers, New York. Aroma is resinous hops with malt, caramel, pine resin, and grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a bitter finish. Body is above medium with a slightly sticky texture. Certainly a throwback IIPA, but I miss bitter resinbombs like this one and I shudder to think of a world where only the juicebomb exists. Go Bell's!

Poured a dark orange caramel color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was big hops, very big resin. Grapefruit, pine. Flavor was a touch too boozy. A bit of an ice citrus blast, but doesn't make up for the over-the-top ABV on this one.

16 oz. can, pours a clear dark copper orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out rich resinous hops, pine, and caramel malt. Flavour is rich and resinous, with tons of resinous hops, light pine, and a big caramel malt base. A little more on the malty side, especially compared to regular Two Hearted Ale, but it's balanced well and constructed beautifully. Excellent.

Ever so slightly hazy copper, orange, bronze and beautiful peach coloured body with a very thin, tan head that's only one centimetre tall. Aroma of alcohol, syrup, resin, pine, pineapple and a sappy, almost mapley scent that shows a ton of hops, malt and sweetness. Full-bodied; Super rich and deep malty, syrupy, resinous and pungent flavours all show at first with a lot of hop bitterness with a slight astringency, a bunch of malts that really add to the body here and all ends with a strong sweetness of syrup and resin. Aftertaste shows a ton of pretty much everything, with a lot of pine, flowers, grass, resin, pineapple and especially the deep malts and plentiful sweetness on the end, after you make it through the super pungent bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops, here. Overall, a very nice, incredibly rich, but somehow balanced well, beer that's pretty much exactly as you'd expect from Bell's - a bit stronger and more pungent than I was expecting, but very nice throughout and a great beer to sample, especially super fresh! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Columbia Pike), Virginia on 18-September-2021 for US$1,87 (part of a mixed six pack), bottled on 26-July-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 30-November-2021.

Bottle about two months old to glass. Clear copper-orange with minimal white head. Aroma is grain, slight citrus and alcoholic malt. Flavor is cloying malt and slight fruit. Alcohol pronounced throughout. Cloying. A bit like an American Barleywine. Moderate grass.

07/13/21, 11% of straight resiny piney deliciousness. This'll do when I'm fiending pliney. Super drinkable hoppy sweetness bitter clean finishing..

Bottled 7/26/21, drunk 9/25/21.
Clear, bright amber-to-deep-copper with an off-white head atop showing good retention.
Treating this one like a barleywine, so I'm not too worried about it being 2 months old. I will definitely give it a try fresh on tap/freshly bottled if I ever see it, however. Nose shows some booze, slightly twangy hops and heavily worked yeast yielding an almost sour-like character (perhaps the interaction with the malt?). Fruity and Bells-like, for sure, something in the vein of Third Coast Old Ale.
Flavor-wise, it's, again, notably lightly sour-ish. Not wild yeast/bacteria sour, but just a plethora of alcohol and strong yeast with medium malts interacting to give sourdough. Peppery dryness with more alcohol on the finish. Fruity esters throughout. Moderately bitter and reasonably attenuated for its size. But yeah, other than if you're really looking for a barleywine, which I almost never am, I don't see much allure in all this malt, alcohol and sourdough character. More hop character when fresher would be nice, but then I'd be worried about rampant alcohol and syrupy malt character.

A 12 oz bottle acquired in Santa Fe a month or so back as I recall. Been looking forward to having this brew. I tilt into a snifter to see a clear, gold body topped by an off-white, healthy head of foam. A distinct nose, honey, hay and alcohol. And an interesting taste with essence of DFH 120 Minutes. Caramel, hops, malt, a booziness, grain and straw. An IPA that is not so much IPAish, more of a cocktail. Loaded. Cool.
