Pitch black colour with no head.Aroma is sweet of cocoa and marzipan note of is tart with good hint of coffee and chocolate smooth well balanced and warm taste of coffee and cream nice by style beer.

12 oz can. Pours a very dark brown with short bubbly tan head. Aromas of oaky bourbon, strong black coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate and slick roasted malts. Sharp flavors follow same. Definite dry strong coffee and bourbon. ABV not really showing; just a nice warm finish. Excellent.

355ml can. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dark caramel, dark toffee, a touch of molasses, whiffs of cinnamon. Taste is sweet, slightly roasty, dark and caramel malty, notes of dark toffee, coffee, dark caramel, dark chocolate, a touch of cinnamon, whiffs of vanilla; minimally warming, alcoholic finish, well hidden alcohol overall. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, medium to fine, soft, creamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Very harmonious, focussed, not the most complex, but highly elegant Impy Stout - great!

ABV: 14.8%. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, dark malt, sweet malt, bourbon, vanilla, barrel, coffee sweet. Flavor is light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, bourbon, vanilla, barrel, coffee - chocolate. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240428]
