Can from Mikkeller DTLA on train. Chocolate explosion upon opening the can. Oops. Aroma is bursting with rich milk chocolate and coconut. Taste is big rich sweet chocolate, coconut, booze, wood, some vanilla, dried berry, and leather. Rich silky mouthfeel, a little on the thick side, but still enough carbonation. Lasting chocolatey bitterness with a coconut-wood flavor. Very nice.

On tap at Mikkeller Little Italy, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma reveals rich notes of coconut and chocolate upfront, with a robust roasted malt base. Flavour is so chocolatey, with rich dark chocolate upfront, accentuated by the coconut, and powerful roasted malt base. The dark chocolate depth steals the show here. Rich, elegant, without being brutal. Excellent.
