Pours light amber from the bottle. The white, frothy head slowly fades. Aroma is grassy, leafy, a touch of honey. Taste is sweet with a light bitterness at the backend. Body is medium, lightly oily. Nothing special.

330ml bottle [made its way on mystical ways, though probably without flight on a witches’ broom, from the Brocken via Freiburg to me; any sorcery potentially involved remains in Rode Duivel Bartlebier’s accountability - thank you very much!]. Barely clear, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy, bitter hoppy aroma, obviously a survivor straight from the early 80s, grainy, husky and minimally caramel malty background. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, minimally herbal-spicy, cautious bitter hoppy overtones. Not outstanding, but with nice aromatic tinge.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops. Sweetish, malty and estery flavour with less pronounced bitter, hoppy notes. Sweetish, estery aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Drinkable and clean but too sweet for the style, if you ask me.

0,33 l swing top bottle. Thanks to kappldav123! The bottle label art looks a little bit more professional than in the header. A clear dark golden in the glass, small head. Low malty on the nose. Taste low sourish, little bit malty, hints of apple, low bitterness in the background. All in all something average.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle! Smooth and fresh beginning. Hints of grain, but smooth and easy to drink. Fresh. Not too deep in the mainpart, but still full-bodied. Slightly moderate bitter till the end, smooth and soft with a nice bitter-grainy aftertaste.
