Bottle 66 cl. Pours a clear, dark orangey brown - bordering red - with a small, beige head. Nose has some overripe fruit, sweet dacay. Rich, malty body, again this sweet rot, figgy, some balsamico without being sour at all, just a really nice and very complex malt bill. Spitzenklasse. 020618

Bottled. Very deep reddish brown colour with a mediumsized beige head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is nicely toasted and nutty with some slight toffee and mild alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, but also has a quite raisinlike sweetness kicking in. Quite nice bitterness in the finish.

Pours dark brown from the bottle. Sweet, with lots of chocolate. The alcohol remained fairly well hidden. Good stuff.

May ’15. A 0.66 l bottle from Getränke Walter store, Munich. It poured extremely dark brown body with about medium head, brown hued of course. Caramel and chocolate aroma. Sweet flavor, caramel and chocolate again with a bit more complexity like nuts, wood, dried fruits... Medium to full, sweet cloying body and slightly warming, too. Finished accordingly. Not bad, but although taking into account it’s a doppelbock, this is still too sweet for my taste.

66 cl bottle @ Malminkartano. Batch 14/14/04, BBE 03.12.2016. Aroma is malty and sticky with syrup, bread and rye pudding. Also grain and mild metallic tones. Flavour has chocolate, rye pudding, some grassy hops, mild metallic tones and maltiness. Rather hoppy dp with lots of chocolate.
