Bottle. Clear gold with a dense cm of white head. Slightly honeyed bready aroma with light herbs. Fairly sweet and very rich with bitterness that's enough to balance and has intriguing bitter herbal notes. Whilst the booze doesn't stick out _that_ much for 9% it does detract.

clear golden colour, medium sized creamy ecru-ish white head; aroma of dried apricot, some grainy, caramel, and floral notes; taste is quite similar to the aroma with some hoppy-bittery and earthy notes...well, I'm not really convinced that it is a doppelbock (at least it has some definite tripel-like notes), but anyway it is really enjoyable

Bottle from the brewery. Note, probably expired, but come on - it's a 9%er. Light hazy gold with a fine, medium head. Honey, malt, banana nose. Quite sweet, bready/citrusy, decent bitterness level that almost balances the remaining sugar.

Deep gold with a frothy to creamy white head. Aroma of honey, flowers and apricots. Taste is mildly sweet up front, light fruitiness, dry and mildly grainy bitter at the end with a lingering caramel note. Medium bodied, moderate to mild carbonation, boozy and warm at the end.
