Ayinger Lager Hell is the typical every day drink in Bavaria. Together with wheat beer this Muenchener Hell style is the most famous beer style in the Bavarian south.
As people in Bavaria are very demanding as far as their daily drink is concerned the brewers are very aware of the necessity to brew a yellow-golden beer with a light malt taste. It is crisp, smooth and mellow. A perfectly balanced taste and aroma.
Ayinger Lager Hell is often used for cooking and it can be paired with many typical Bavarian dishes like for example beef, pork and cold meat with radish and Brez’n.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grainy malt with straw, bready notes, and soft noble hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. Quality sweetish Helles Lager.

330ml draft in a bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Pours pale gold, small white head, some retention. Aroma of pale grainy malts, big lemony note, hint of berries. Not bad. Taste is wheaty almost creamy malts, lemon citric notes run through and a hint of spice. Medium body, soft carbonation, quite chewy on the palate but that gives it substance. Good Helles.

From a barrel at the Munich, Ayinger tap 0,5ltr: Just like the kellerbier, but easier on taste.

330 ml bottle from our hotel room in Munich, Germany. Pours a crystal clear gold color with a large white head and excellent retention. Great lacing too. Light pale malt aroma. The flavor profile is closer to a pale lager versus a Helles lager in my opinion. Lightly sweet and full bodied. Super clean and smooth. Great beer. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Not bitter.

Clear golden pour with a decent white head. Aromas of grain, malt, yeast. Well-rounded taste of grain, malt, hint of citrus. Decent finish, too.
