Can at home, 26/07/19. Clear golden with a decent white covering. Nose is pale malts, toasted grains, light honey, breads. Taste comprises pale malts, cereals, breads, grass, sweet notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable Helles... a touch on the sweet side.

Thuis uit ee halve liter fles. Helder geel , weinig schuim. Goede frisse smaak, licht zoet. Met dit weer een lekkere Helles.

Tight white bubbly head stayed on a translucent dark golden body. Floral, malt & maize aroma. Medium bodied, soft on the palate with an airy cloying back. Peach, malt, hoppy, wheat & yeast tastes with a tangy finish.

Can from Advent Calendar: pours gold with white head. Aroma is vegetabley, bready, grainy. Taste is sweeitsh, lightly bitter, a bit off. Not as metallic as the Egerer ones, but still problematic.

Can from the Advent Calendar. Pours a clear golden hue with a small white head. A nice sweet malty nose. Clean, not problems here, light grains, light lemon, a husky base. Maybe there is a hint of metal but overall it is solid and clean.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall, pure white head. Aroma of grass, light malt, a bit of wheat and hay with very little else - no real sugars to speak of. Light-bodied; Super grassy and herbal flavour with a lot of funky malts, some light grainy sweetness coupled with a very light dose of caster sugar and not much else noticeable on the end - very simplistic - especially for the end of the month. Aftertaste shows a good balance throughout the sample, but is perhaps a bit too harsh on the palate at the very early stages of the morning without any assistance. Overall this game shows a grassy and funky herbal maltiness throughout here without any variance of anything related to this or any other styles. Nice to sample as Day One (even though I'm drinking a day late) on the Costco Advent Calendar. I sampled this 500 mL can as Day One [of twenty-four] of the 2018 Christmas Advent Calendar, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 30-September-2018 for US$59,99/twenty-four, sampled at my house here in Washington on 02-December-2018.

Review from 2018: 500 ml can from the Kalea Advent calendar. Pours clear golden with a light haze and lots of particulates floating around underneath a two finger white fluffy head with good retention and some lace. Aroma is grassy, sweet. Taste is sweet, metallic, no bitterness. Tired of the metal notes in these beers. 6,4,5,4,11=3.0
2021 review: 500 ml can from the Costco Advent calendar. Aroma is sweet bready malt. Pours lightly hazy golden with a one finger bone-white head with decent retention. Taste is sweet with faint bitterness. Perfectly carbonated creamy mouthfeel. No metallic notes whatsoever. Maybe they upped their game since 2018. Not bad at all. 6,4,7,5,15=3.7

Bottle, 5.2%. Dusty aroma. Faint hint of aromatic hops. Clear shiny golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is clean and nicely malty with a spicy hop note. Clean citric finish, almost lemony.

Bottle. Pours clear light golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with hints of paper. Sweetish flavour of yeast, with malty notes and hints of hops. Estery and papery aftertaste with acidic hints. Drinkable and not bad for the style.
