From tap. Clear pale golden color with white head. Malty aroma, grainy, bready, light caramel. Light sweet and moderate bitter taste. Light thin to oily body with soft carbonation.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from local 'LIDL', best before May 2019. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains, some straw and hints of vanilla. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, gently grassy-spicy taste of grains, some straw and a touch of vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and a bit papery-grainy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very bland, far from good.

Schönes Gold, gute Perlung, Schaum kaum vorhanden. In der Nase eher Pale Lager, getreidig, etwas plädderich. Im Trunk wässrig, leicht süß, Malz, Getreide, langweilig.

500ml bottle. Clear, orangey, pale golden colour with average, frothy, rapidly diminishing, white head. Mellow, minimally biscuity, pale malty aroma, a touch of hay, weak, slightly grassy, hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish pale malty, minimally biscuity and grainy, minimally floral, bitter hoppy counterweight with a light metallic touch. Balanced, clean and refreshing - not so bad a Helles.

€-Flasche (Dank am See!): Clear, golden, small and slowly collapsing white head; mild sweetish malty-grainy nose, quite well hidden traces of strawy hops underneath; mild to moderate sweet flavour with a faint bitterness, almost medium bodied and astonishingly a bit fizzy; sweet strawy finish. Drinkable, but surely a bit monotonous...
