Das Benediktiner Hell ist unser Lagerbier nach typisch bayrischer Brauart. Mit goldgelber Farbe, angenehmer Malzsüße und weniger Herbe.

0.5 l bottle from 'REWE' (Wyk auf Föhr), best before February 2021. Clear, golden with a thin, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, moderately floral and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains, a touch of straw and traces of lemon peel. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, some straw and a touch of lemon peel, followed by a short, just slightly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Really pleasant, highly quaffable Helles.

Pours hay yellow with a thin tracing head. Aroma of Pilsen malt. Taste has light smattering of hops, malt. Palate has almost imperceptible hint of Central European hops. Good.

Can that pours a clean, pale golden-yellow colour with a big creamy white head, very long lasting, leaving some nice creamy lacing. Yeasty aromas at first with some caramel malts. Then, the cereal notes come out found in Helles, with that mild sweetness. This sweet character shows up in the taste at first, but the hops help the finish not being syrupy. Easy to drink. Smooth, but with some decent dryness in the end. A well-balanced Helles, with a Euro Pilsner touch.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour, two finger frothy white head. Lasting head, good retention, lots of lacing on the glass as it goes down. Nose is lager malt, grass and grains. Sweet background. Thin body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, slightly chewy, goes down nicely. Taste is a bit more on the sweet side with very mild bitter notes in the background. Simple and straightforward, aroma of lager malt, grains and grass. Bready, hints of corn. Mild herbal notes in the background. Short lasting finish. Average lager, really. A bit flat and empty, there's nothing in here to make it stand out among the army of similarly boring lagers. Drinkable and that's pretty much it.

Klasyczny bawarski helles. Zlocista barwa, puszysta bielusienka piana, srednio trwala, klarowne plus babelki. Pachnie sianem sloma. W smaku zbozowe trawiaste lekko slodowe, z niewielka dawka chmielu. Przecietne

500 mL can. Pours a clear, bubbly, straw color, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is water crackers, lavender, straw, and corn syrup. Sweet and watery, with a mild, sickly bitterness. Light body, with a thin, dusty palate. This is a light and simple lager. Easy and reasonably tasty, but not great.
