At a tasting, small stable creamy head, clear very dark metalic red color, aroma of brown bread, wax and dried fruits, flavor of dried fruits and caramel, light bitterness dosn't blend with the sweetness. Nice but not too exciting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Thanks Tom L. Brown, beige head. Malt, caramel, nuts, some chocolate, minerals, a bit vegetal, sweet, a bit of roast, bitterish finish, medium-bodied.

Bottle from O'Brien's, Athlone [260418]
A4, N7, T8, P4, O15 3.8
Caramel brown, clear, frothy off white head dissipates, light lacing
Aroma - Rich sweet caramel malts, no roast, light toffee, only a hint of alcohol, dab of chocolate caramel, hint of pine sniffing in the bottle
Taste - Rich sweet caramel malts, rich toffee malts, alcohol quite well hidden, rich soft malts, soft dark fruits, nice malts in this, quite easy going for 11%
Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, fairly sweet, smooth, soft warming alcohol. Finish of caramel malts, soft toffee, soft dark fruits, malts a bit richer in the linger
Overall - Smooth rich caramel malts, good stuff

Weicher, dunkel erdig-würziger Antrunk. Mild herb-holziger Mittelteil bei erstaunlich starkem Hopfen, wenig bitter, Bitterschokokade. Vollmundig, kaum alkoholisch, sehr würzig - gelungen. 10/9/11/11/10/11
