330ml bottle. Jet black colour with huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Chocolately, roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of cocoa, a fruity touch of prune, minimally leafy, waxy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately dark malty, slightly roasty and fruity, notes of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some coffee, hints of plum, some cherry; soft palate, gentle yet effective carbonation. Very nice, maybe a tad too sweet and easy drinkable.

Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks Max. Dark brown to black, beige head. Coffee, licorice, dark fruits, malt, roast, sweet, bitterish finish, medium-bodied, pretty strong carbonation.

*Bottle in HH Smooth malty sticky beginning. Lots of roast with a nice bitterness. Sticky burned sugars, round and sweet as it should be, burned malts and sugars in the end with a nice bitterness.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours black. Aroma is apples, cider, some coffee. Body is medium, sweet, soft carbonation. Good roast flavours on the tongue. Quite dry. Good.

Bottle (from boxbeers). Pours dark brown with light brownish head. Aroma is sweet, malt, grains, caramel, stale moldy notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, chocolate, mold, grains, dusty notes. Finish is rather dry and chocolate. Overall: not bad, but why so moldy?!

Black, large beige froth. Aroma has roasted malt, caramel, coffee notes. Sweet flavour, slightly sticky. Roasted malt, caramel, notes of sweet licorice and coffee. Roasted and slightly piney bitterness.

0,33 l boottle. Pours out oily, nearly black in the glass, only smallest reddish edges against the light with an huge creamy beige head. More choco than coffee on the nose. Taste starts with intensive choco and coffee, some sweetness in the in the second row, getting more dry to the middle. Fruitieness in the background. Low bitterness, nearly no carbonation. Less alcoholic than expected. Could be a little bit more stronger, but to be honest, it´s a really really nice brew.

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan, creamy head. Aroma is toasted malty and slight breadish. Dark malty. Chocolate and caramelish. Bitter and dark roasted malty. Dry and bitter far finish.
