Bottled. Wow, very interesting. Pourd a darkish yellow/orange. SOme raspeberryish taste I thought? coriander and citrus - surprising beer.

Bottle. Cloudy, deep yellow. Decent head and lace. Aroma was slight funk with a tinge of lemon. Taste was really unusual. Lemon with coriander. Not really salty but sour.

Bottle. Pours pale, semi clear golden with a white head. Nose is rather mineral and spicy, and somewhat sweetish grainy. Taste is moderately sweet and malty, apart from this it’s saline and spicy. Surprisingly for me it’s not sour almost at all. Lively carbonated and light bodied.

Original rating 2014: From tap at Bayerischer Bahnhof, Leipzig. Aroma of grains, coriander, some fruitiness, lemon. Flavour is mild sour, much milder than I had hoped. Definitely good, but I expected a little more more from this historic brew. *** Re-rate from bottle. About the same impression. Pleasant, salty and tart. Rating stands.

Notes from 7/1/2008. 11.2oz bottle, no date stamp that I could find, but it had slept in my fridge for the last 3 months. A quarter inch of wispy white head rises then retreats over a genuinely straw-colored brew. Just a tiny touch of haze. Erratic, large, & violent carbonation rises & shoots to the top. It looks very refreshing. It honestly smells just like an everyday kolsh to me, just with more fruitiness to it. The malt gives my nose a granular sugar sweetness, but it doesn't seem caramelized. So tasty, yet so clean. A sugary, lemon-lime soda-ish fizz hits first, followed by a funnel of salt, sugar, & zest, that lays into some dry grain, & ends in a fruity/sour dry finish. A little warmer, & the coriander comes through, but I personally like it colder. Mouthfeel is amazing. Plentiful, but soft carbonation, with just about no weight to the actual beer. I want to give this a 5 for drinkability, but this beer is just so ridiculously expensive & hard to come by. A great beer.
That's freaking good. The salt is a nice touch.

On tap at Bayerischer Bahnhof Leipzig. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, lemony and mild corianter nose. Fruity, light salty, notes of coriander and some acidity in the finish.

Draft: Poured an unclear golden with white head. Aroma is grain, light floral. Taste is nice grain, light cereal, salt, not overly sour, very tasty.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy gold with a small but decent white head. Gushing. Aroma of wheat, lemons and a little bit of coriander. Taste of grains, wheat, lemons, coriander and a pinch of salt. Slightly sour. No bitterness. Strong carbonation. Balanced and refreshing.
