Coffee and roasted malts, quite lite to medium body with an interesting roasted-dryish finish

Tap at brewpub. Opaque colour, small beige head. Toasted, coffeeish aroma with some licorice. Light-bodied. Toasted, ashy, coffeish flavour. Quite watery but tolerable.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty and woody with a hint of coffee. The flavor was bitter, smokey and roasty with a bit of coffee. Long coffee finish. Medium bodied but somewhat flat.

Flight at the source. Real black in the glass. Fat choco on the nose. Tast has a lot of choco, smooth, low carbonated. Mid roasted malt, also fruity background with present hop. Really nice.
