Can as Austmann Northie. Cloudy brown. Decent frothy head of beige colour. Aroma: toast, chocolate, some grass. Light to medium body. Taste: medium dry. Rich malts. Chocolate, toast, nuts. Light bitterness. Succeeded ale.

On tap @ Taplokaal Gist, Utrecht. Dark brown with an off-white head. Roasted malts aroma with some dark caramel. Taste is sweet with some roasted bitterness. Nice brown ale.

Bottle. Reddish brown color, light brown foam. Aroma: dried fruits, a little prune, caramel, wine. Taste: caramel, biscuit, sweetly-bitter, not bad.

Tap at Kaapse Brouwers festival. Slight hazy brown with beige head. Sweet malts, soft chocolate, light lime, mineral water, brown bread and Italian herbs. Light sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied.

Tap at Borefts ’15. Pours dark brown with a medium tan had. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, coffee and toffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
