(500ml waxed bottle from SB) Pours black with basically no head. Notes of burnt, nutty toasty malts with quite prominent bitterness, chocolate and cocoa are quite dominant, caremlized sugar sweetness, ample umami soy and soft smoke, definite fruity tones that are almost acidic, leathery wood, kind of dusty and maybe a hint metallic, with anise and smoke joining cocoa and burnt grain in the finish that has a definite bite of roast acidity. Medium bodied, slick, lightly carbonated. A slightly odd beer, though honestly less odd than I expected and fun to try, even though acidic elements in dark beers are hit and miss for me.

Piana szybko znika. W aromacie wędzona śliwka, czekolada, karmel, ognisko, ciemne i czerwone owoce, rodzynki. Aromat jest przyjemny, złożony, stylowy, lecz jest zbyt mało intensywny. Smaku za to jest o wiele więcej, aż eksploduje w jamie ustnej. Śliwka, słodka czekolada, lekka wędzonka, wiśnie, karmel a całość zwieńczona lekką, pasującą goryczką. Wędzonka w większej ilości pojawia się retronosowo i zostaje na dłużej, przyjemnie. Ciało wysokie, ale nie przesadnie. Trochę za słabo aromat, poza tym piwo bardzo smaczne, stylowe, eleganckie, po latach nie robi już takiego wow, ale z sentymentem co rok chętnie będę do niego wracał. Ta wersja wg mnie nie jest przesadnie prześliwkowana

Bottle recieved as a great gift, many thanks to Rotaman14! Shared with Inoven on new years evening. The beer pours black with a dark red glow almost no head. Roasted malt aroma, smoke and turf. The taste is sweet, smoked, plumey, malty, light bitter and fruity. The flavored is very good!

375ml at Phill's place shared with Alex. Vintage 2019. Appearance: brown with a weak beige head. Aroma: smoke and plums, some roasted malts. Taste: along the same lines, sweet, fruity, smoky, a bit thin. Overall: good if you like the base flavors.
