Clear mahagoni with little beige head. Aroma is green apple, fruchtgummi, some chalk. Taste is a little blood, butter, malty sweetness, phenolic bitterness, slightly spicy. Not much carbonation, actually a little watery. Meh.

0,5 l bottle bought at Brause Syndikat, BI. Dark brown in the glass and a mighty more than two finger head. Low malty on the nose. Taste starts malty, low smoked, some sweetness in the background. Low bittterness due to the roasted malt. Nothing spectacular but okay.

0,5 l bottle from P&M Getränke, best before 14/8/2015. Beautifully, clear, dark amber with a medium large, creamy, almost stable, tan head. Grassy, malty aroma of nuts and a bit of toffee. Sweetish taste of nuts and toffee, with gentle hints of coffee in the end. Short, slightly bitter and minimally metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Solid and tasty, just what you would expect from Franconia.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, brownish, nice head. Starts malty-dry, not too roasty, some hints of caramel. Light fruity notes of plum. Finish a bit milder. Okay.

The bottle looks good, really christmas-like. The beer in the glass also, darker than exspected, huge head. Starts strong and malty, modest roasty, not too dry. A little bit smoky. Also fruity notes of plum. The smoky notes make a wonderful aftertaste. Very drinkable and good beer!
