Bottle, 0.25l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Clear dark amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, spices and yeast. Taste starts moderate sweet malty, follows by toasted and fruity notes, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is medium grassy bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Dreamin’ of Christmas...

Bottle. Oxidized both in aroma and flavour, which is a very unpleasant surprise in macrobeer like this. Other than that there is moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, a balanced beer. Mostly malt centered with caramelly toasted character. Also quite light spiciness, cinnamom, star anise. Good except for the oxidation.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, chestnut brown. Thick, foamy, lasting, lacing, beige head. Good looker. Nose has bread yeast. Cocktail cherries. Hint of cinnamon. Some caramel. Taste is fairly sweet first off, with a burnt sugar bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Foamy and smooth. Burnt cinnamon finish. Not bad.

Flesje gedeeld met familie. Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Weinig aroma, smaak is caramelachtig met een vleugje van chocolade. Nasmaak is iets hoppig.

330ml bottle. Pours clear, deep amber brown colour with a small but persisting beige creamy foam head. Aroma: malty, dark fruits and spices, molasses. Taste: as expected from the aroma some lovely sweet malts, caramel, dark fruits, spices, low bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Smooth and warming, just what I wanted this evening.

Small beige head kept a cover on a rich brown still body. Molasses, dark fruit, malt & spicy aroma. Medium body, fine carbonation, a bit thin on the back. Spicy Christmassy tastes with brown sugar, nutmeg, spice, malt, raisin, plum & clove.

Bouteille (750ml): Deep ruby-amber coloured, presumably clear, big and stable and creamy and lacy off-white head: mild to moderate sweetish toasty-fruity nose, faint traces of chocolate in the background; mild to moderate sweetish (almost a bit sugary) flavour with a low bitterness, light bodied regarding its strength, not too soft; slightly lingering light caramelly and fruity finish. A very simple brew, lacking character, not unpleasant, though...
