Crystal malt, amber malt, black malt and roast barley in generous quantities generate a deep black colour and flavours to match. Roast bitterness, coffee and liquorice notes combine in a velvety rich malt texture. A full and sweetish body is balanced by traditional Goldings hops.

At a tasting, thanks Roei, small creamy head, opaque vert dark brown color, lots of aromatic coffee, with wood, shrubs, cinamon and dark bread in the back, roasted coffee flavor, some roasted malt and dark fruits, mellow sourness. Very nice to sip slowly, should continue to improve.

Bottle sample at a tasting at tomer’s place. Thanks tomer. Black with a bit of tan foam. Aroma is burnt and boozy, with wine, dark fruits, chocolate, some soy sauce, charcoal, licorice. Sourish-bitterish roasty flavor, vinous, with dark fruits, soy sauce, some chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. Quite full-bodied. A bit too boozy, but mellows with some time in the glass.

500ml bottle at Austrian RB Meeting in Linz shared by Sebilinz, many thanks. BB 07/2019. smells malty roast, glueish, light coffee & chocolate, light smoke, decent. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes malty roast, light glueish again, light smoke, lightly sour, bitter chocolate & coffee, caramel, some herbs. finishes malty roasty, with herbs and light sourness. quite nice, overall was served a bit too warm. but nice one.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a bubbly tan head, aroma is quite sweet with some chocolate, light malt a hint of coffee, taste has rich coffee, burnt toast malts, some plain chocolate bitterness, I’d expect a moor viscous mouthfeel of a stout of this ABV, but overall very pleasant and a bold move to put it in a 500ml.

Black color with nice beige head. Nice aroma of chocolate, ashes, liquorice, dark fruits, and booze. Taste is rich, lots of roasted burnt malt, chocolate, and a little booze kick. A fine classic Imperial Stout. The carbonation is a little bit too much for this type of beer.

500ml bottle from Cheese & Wine shop, Darlington. Black-brown in colour, foam tan head and aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee & chocolate. Taste is sweet malty, molasses, liquorice, chocolate powder, dark fruity notes, coffee and earthy boozy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, lingering dry sweet malty grassy roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Aroma roasted with notes of winey hops. Light grassy. Pitch black colour. Taste is intensely roasty, without a hint of astringency. Some chocolate. Dry roasted chocolate finish, where the hops ultimately shows itself. Easy dirnking.
