8/4/2023. Can shared at SBGP2. From LowCostBeer.com. Pours clear bright amber with a small frothy white head. Aroma is bready, malt, toffee, veg, orange, pine. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, a little watery, average carbonation. Nice bitterness redeemed it.

Can from LCB dot com. Not what you would call a fresh can. It pours a rather nice amber with and orangey hue and big frothy slightly off -white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, sappy, resinous, caramel, brown bread, twist of tangy citrus and some marmalade. The taste is initially dry, pleasing bitterness which lingers, peppery spice, pithy, zesty, waxy citrus peel, grapefruit, omitted orange, piney, resinous, sappy and just a touch of caramel in the malt base with a dry, firm finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Nice classic west coaster style pale. Considering this isn't fresh, it is still rather drinkable and ticks all the boxes.

Can from local Home Bargains store – drank at home. Pours golden amber with a lively, frothy, transient off-white head. Malts, marmalade and come hints of pine in the aroma. In the mouth there is an initial massive hit of piney hops and corn with metallic undertones. After a while this calms down and oranges, burnt toast and alcoholic strength become apparent. Finish is dry and very bitter. Not bad once you get used to it.

Can from Werewolf Brewery. Aroma has fruit, caramel and a hint of resin. Clear-opaque amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Resin and zesty citrus. Spice. Malts... a hint of cardboard. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Nice.

355ml can: BB 16th November 2022, drank at home straight after drinking it's little brother 'In Session' which I didn't like. Luckily this is a far better tasting beer all round, thank goodness. Clean amber body, white topping. Malty front to the nose and taste, some light piney hop action gains momentum as you get into the brew, giving it a decent bitter finish.

Can from Homesense, Manchester. Hazy amber coloured. Bland tasting hoppy-piney brew with a small frothy head. Has a fair body given its strength, which isn't that noticeable, but the brew itself although fine is passable.

12 ounce can delivered from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Dark golden orange and clear with a small white head. The scent is certainly gentle with grainy notes and pine. Tastes quite bitter although never overly so, with piney hop oils lining the back of the tongue and throat. Bitterness on the finish, but again it's not too intense. Medium body with carbonation in the heavy side. Perhaps a bit ordinary but certainly a solid and enjoyable offering.

100th American pale ale rating! Kind of nondescript American pale ale. Classic primarily pine aroma and flavor. Good beer, nothing special.
