CRAIC: /krak/ - Good fun, great company.

Craic was born in 2017, when River Horse Brewing had the honor of becoming one of the early Jameson Caskmates partners.
This dry, Irish-style stout aged in Jameson barrels with vanilla and coffee beans, is inspired by the traditional Irish Coffee - strong as a friendly hand, and smooth as the wit of the land.

500 ml bottle from Hoboken Vine. Dark brown pour with a small brown head and some spotty lacing. Rich chocolate, coffee, and vanilla aroma and flavor. Plenty of whiskey comes through, mostly up-front with the sweetner components. The close is dry, with coffee roast. Smooth feel. Well balanced between the sweet flavors, whiskey, and dryness. Really nice overall. Exceeded my expectations for sure.

500 ml bottle. 9.1% ABV. Opaque black color. Creamy tan head disapates rather quickly. Roasted malt nose has obvious notes of Jameson. Sweet roasted malt flavor upfront. Notes of coffee, vanilla and more Jameson. Smooth and flavorful with complex notes of toffee and vanilla. Warming alcohol in middle. Flavors develop as the brew warms. The Jameson whiskey notes are wonderful and add a delicious nuance. Arguably the best beer I have had from River Horse.
