Draught at Hill Farmstead and Black Back during Anniversary Week 2017 and a 750mL growler consumed later that month.
Clear, brass-gold, bright and with a small, but fairly well-retained white head atop.
Plentiful cereal grain in the nose is rustic and smells of freshly baked sourdough, albeit lightly so. Soft, vegetal, green hops of the appropriate type add fresh cut grass, dill and thyme. Soft water/mineral and house character sits on the end with no alcohol or flaw.
Crisp, well-attenuated, lightly but appropriately carbonated and full of fresh herbal-like hops and a grainy malt character that further adds to the crisp, refreshing character. Light touch of vanilla and biscuit on the end, and the growler didnt hold up nearly as well as the IPAs do (despite sitting in the fridge), with the carbonation falling off considerably and the beer oxidizing faster than expected. Regardless, this stuff was killer fresh on draught and came off authentic and supremely drinkable.

Thanks Brennan for sharing the can! Poured into a snifter showing well filtered yellow with no head. The nose shows lightly tart notes of bready malt. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Lightly tart with clean flavours of light biscuit.

Pours pale gold into a willi. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to skim surface. Cracked malt and hay aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and hay front to back. Lasting mild bitter earth finish. Nice.
