Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

12oz bottle. I remember when I first started drinking, there were Agave beers, sort of a fad, tried a few and was never impressed, but still the style intrigued me, and this is the first agave beer I’ve rated or even had in a dozen years. Hazy orange-tan color, with a thin off white head that laces the edges of the glass. Interesting deep, not astringent, lime and sweet malt aroma. Not so bad, but really a different taste and body than your traditional beer. Earthy, almost like you get a solid planty thickness. I suppose Breckenridge had done the style justice. Nonetheless, a pretty insipid beer, not really offering up more than the odd adjuncty taste that is Agave. Not great by any means, but worth a try.

Pours hazy opaque golden orange with white head. The aroma has some mild lemon acidity and then quickly running toward earthy wheat and some brown sugar. The taste begins a bit tingly and bright with some modest levels of tartness, spice, wheat and sugary malt sweetness. It gets a bit pear and apple like about midway. It has a fairly creamy body and ends smooth with lingering wheat and fruity sweetness.

Bottle provided by angrypirate06. Pours with a white head and hazy yellow body. Aroma is oddly sour, some kumquats, raw agave plant (very vegital) and dry corn. Taste is lime, tonic, and wheat. Fizzy mouthfeel.

A good looking wheat beer. Opaque orange with lots of yeast and protein. Slightly acidic aroma, with yeast and wheat. Surprisingly sour flavor, with wheat and some bubblegum, more yeast, and definitely a vegetable character that I will call agave. It drinks pretty good, and is best very cold.

bottle in mixed Breckenridge 12-pack. Surprising and interesting choice to see agave used with beer. Agave is the primary ingredient in Tequila. The beer pours golden with bright thin white head. Aroma has plenty of wheat and refreshing agave juice. I got to try agave extracts a while back and the taste was well alive in the aroma. Taste of wheat with sugary palate from the use of agave. Agave gives the beer a very interesting twist and approach. Light bitter finish with an almost mead/honey like finish.

12 oz bottle from Supermaket Liquors, Cheyenne, WY; Nose of guava fruits, flowery hops, and wheaty grain; cloudy yellow-gold with a big, glass-lacing, off-white head; flavor is wheaty, with light agave in the background along with very mild hop bitterness; finish is lightly bitter. Good different wheat.

bottle - Pours hazy gold with a one finger, quickly fading head. The aroma is mainly wheat malt and some yeast. The flavor is sweet wheat, a touch of citrus, and what I guess is the agave. It’s light bodied and has a mild, dry finish. Not bad... the agave is kind of interesting, but the result is nothing special...

Bottle shared by B-ill, so I can thank him for now knowing what agave tastes like. The beer pours an unufiltered-looking golden color with a thin and soapy white head that dissipates quickly. Wheat and agave in the nose. Light-bodied with a citrusy character and wheat and spice in the background. The finish is clean and fruity with a sweet honey aftertaste. I would probably have this over tequila but that is not saying a lot.
