Tap at B33r Gallery. Golden color with medium white head. Aroma of malt, light sourness, spices. Light sour, spicy taste with malt, hops with tropical fruits, light zest, pines. Very goood.

Bottle 33cl. Cloudy honey yellow. Small white head. Stays as as a thin layer on beer surface. Aroma: ripe sourish fruit, white bread, spicy yeast, spicy hops. Pepper, dill. Really different. Dry taste. Restrained maltiness. Yeast and hops leading. Spicy. Lightly grassy. Light to medium bitterness. Interesting and very enjoyable.

Bottle from the Architect, Cambridge. Light yellow, hazy, well-carbonated. A nice combination of spicy saison yeast and more sour yeasty notes. Taste is bready and spicy, with coriander notes. Incredibly short finish. The carbonation dominates the mouthfeel. It’s a lovely beer in a way, but it lacks the intensity of so many of Wild Beer’s best efforts. Refreshing more than engaging.

Ein weiterer Hopfentrunk aus dem Hause Wild Beer, das sich gerne mittels Crowd-funding finanziert. Dieses Saison basiert auf einem belgischen Witbier. Neben der hauseigenen Brettanomyces-Hefe (die auch diesem Bier den farmhouse-Stil geben) kommt amerikanischer Sorachi Ace Hopfen zu Anwendung. Und das Bier fängt wirklich wie ein belgisches Abteibier mit gut ausbalancierten Gewürz- und Orange-Noten an, aber dabei bleibt es nicht lange: Schnell übernimmt der amerikanische Aromahopfen das Ruder, welcher schnell an ein IPA erinnert. Der herbe Geschmack wird aber gut durch den Witbiergeschmack aufgefangen und in diesen gut eingebettet. Besonders im Abgang merkt man das Spiel zwischen Abteibier-Noten und Hopfenbittere. Auch dieses Bier wollte ich nicht, wie auf der Flasche und der homepage empfohlen, lange lagern, da ich nicht wusste, wie lange das Bier schon im Geschäft "gereift" ist. Auf jeden Fall einen Test wert, besonders für Leute, die belgische Biere und amerikanischen Hopfen haben.

Unclear, yellow to golden colored, medium white frothy head. Aroma is of Sorachi Ace, coconut and some dill, some tropical fruit and light lemongrass, some spicy yeast. Taste is medium sweet malt, wheat, medium+ aroma of coconut, tropical and dill grassy, lemony citrus, spicy yeast, medium bitterness, dry finish, some yeast. Medium bodied, soft+ carbonation, bit oily.

A remarkably flavoursome beer. A nice, thirst quenching spiciness that sat nicely alongside the hops. It wasn’t a session beer because of the richness and the strong mouthfeel, but still very good.

Draught. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and citric/mango aroma. Moderate bitter strange but nice flavor. Very fruity and acetic. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Fra fat på Cirkus, Stavanger (Wild Beer krankupp) aug-16: gylden med fint skum. Behagelig men litt beskjeden duft av høy, krydder, gjær/brett og frukt. Frisk og funky sma med citrus, malt, dill og gjær. Halvtørr og samtidig ganske myk. Fin bitterhet gjorde at glasset fort ble tomt.
